Howdy, Folks! Yes, I know you thought we fell off the face of the earth! Sorry...it's been a hectic month and half...We had a call from our agency just a few days before Samuel Juan's graduation asking if we'd take two children into our home. After praying and pondering about it for a bit, we felt it was a good thing. This has kept us hopping!
This picture was taken at Sam's graduation by Druscilla, our 5 1/2 yr old foster daughter! (So that explains the off centerness! hee :) We are very proud of Samuel and thankful he is in our family...he has grown in so many ways this year. He is now getting his mission papers filled out and going to the dentist and doctor for physicals so he can submit them by July 15th! We are so excited for him, and he told his dad the other day that he wished he could go now!
Ann's update on the running is she went to the State Meet...she improved her times a little, not as much as she would've liked, but she's determined for next year, her senior year, to do even better and place in the top 7 in the state of Arizona! She took 15th overall at State in the mile with a time of 5:20, and 12th overall in the two-mile with a time of 11:37. She is running lots of miles this summer and hoping to get in the "700 Mile Club" by the end of the summer...meaning she would run 700 miles in that 2 1/2 month period. She's keeping busy with girls camp, where she was a YCL and also went to "Camp Heber" with Kenny and I to help in the kitchen and cook for the 65 seminary and institute teachers of the Southwest Area. She had a ball talking with the seminary teachers and seeing a different "funny" side to them...and even said she wants her future husband to be a seminary teacher! :)
