Hope Arising needs your help...

Here are some pictures from the blog of my dear friend, Jennifer Brinkerhoff...who is involved in raising money for a village in Africa that she has visited several times. She is wanting to raise $40, 000 for the water project to help them have a water line built so they do not have to carry their water 5 miles.

So Kenny and I are trying to get the word out to all who would also like to help...only $20 a day will feed one person a month! So if you are interested and would like to help...here's a link below.

Cleaning the house

Washing his hair... he (probably his mother) walked up to 5 miles to collect the water. The waterline that Hope Arising is putting in will cut that time down significantly. (There are no showers, bath tubs, faucets.)

"See, it's people like Gethun that you'll be able to help with just a small donation. It's not a matter of him or others being lazy or without creativity or motivation. It's a serious lack of resources and opportunity.

Sometimes it feels like an elephant... my dream of saving Ethiopia (or at least a village in Ethiopia). But I'll do it one bite at a time. Right now I've bitten off raising money. A lot of money. Will you bite off a chunk too??
